Hi,
a little known aircraft to MiG :
MiG-115: was a single-turboprop staggered and unbraced biplane
utility aircraft.
MiG-125: light business jet powered by two Williams-Rolls FJ-44
turbofans engines.
For counter Ticonderoga Class, Soviet also want a new class fighting ship which could be build in scores. Afterall, the Kirov class is too expensive. So here we see a new class that looks nuch similar with Ticonderoga.
[EDIT: Not a real project - MODERATOR]
Do you know that designer ? Gashulyak,Yaroslav
his name isn't mention in the book THE OSPREY ENCYCLOPEDIA OF
RUSSIAN AIRCRAFT 1875-1995.
He designed and built the G-1 a single seat helicopter, which powered
by Irbit two-cylinder motor-cycle engine in spring of 1961.
TsNII claim to be the institute with "stealth" experience. They claim to have reduced the RCS of Tu-160, S-37, and Kh-101 by factors of 6, 10, and 14 from the original designs.
Chelomei are supposed to have intended to use a Plasma Stealth generator called "Marabou" on their 3M25 Meteorit missile.
Well, we all know the 1.44 demonstrator. But how did Mikoyan arrive at this configuration? What was the design evolution? What might the production 1.42 look like?
What about the Sukhoi and Yakovlev designs?
