I used to nurse the fond belief that only the B52G and H versions carried Hound Dog missiles and that they were only loaded in the "silver era".
Thanks to the Internet it turned out that the Dog served well into the 70s and so was carried by SIOP scheme B52s.
An example is shown here...

Last few days I've been tearing my hair out looking for a collection of images I *know* I saw some time ago: art and diagrams depicting various aircraft including the B-52 carrying the Navaho missile. If this sounds at all familiar to anyone, please let me know. Here's an image from another...
This one is not really feasible but it does produce some interesting models or artwork.
The USAF had its Hound Dogs in service from the Cuban Missile Crisis well into the 70s.
If politics and other considerations had not got in the way, permutations of NATO Hound might have served on the...

I found this quote in another topic: "What about the disgraceful O-47? The inelegant Sabreliner?" Perhaps as a answer to the second part of that question I will present the following image and also ask if this is the NA-465, "Sabreliner 65", that hesham mentioned more than seven years ago...

I can't find any images of this, but I've read about studies that were undertaken to bring the B-70's RCS down to that of the B-52. Plans called for 10-20 degrees of dihedral to be added to the wings, vertical tail-surfaces to be canted inward 10-20 degrees, as well as the addition of slanted...

Just put up a new article at RetroMechanix.com on a P-51D Mustang which was tested with a pair of unusual streamlined 150 gallon ferry tanks at Eglin Field, Florida in 1944-45:
The object of the tests was to determine the safe ferry range of the P-51D airplane. The article features 20 photos...
