You guys know if it has any pictures of the SMT 9.18 (no hump, used by Yemen and Eritrea)? This has been on my list a while and I’ll bump it up.

Yes it does. There is a chapter dedicated to the different SMT variants as well as one providing a brief description of all operators. This book is well worth the price.

If I was a publisher whose out-of-print books are selling for $250+ second-hand I might think "there's demand there for another run."

But apparently not.

At over $1357.00 what would be the harm in a second run even if a new more update version is possibility out of the question for now am guessing there is a market for this kind of book

At over $1357.00
I would like to meet anyone who would pay that much.
Internet prices for out-of-print books can be crazy. What might cause them to go up, is because sellers keep track of how many people ask for copies on sites like ebay. The more requests for a book appear, the higher the price sellers think they can ask.
About fifteen years ago, I started looking on bookfinder, alibris and abebooks for Cogs, Caravels and Galleons, the third book in Conway's History of the Ship. On first publishing in 1994, it would have been offered for €40 - €50. Fifteen years ago, the cheapest on offer was €400. This didn't get better for years. I gave up for a while, about ten years ago I checked prices again: €40 for a good copy. I immediately bought it.
I have accepted some books I would like to have cost more than they are worth to me.

To be honest I did pay about a $100 for my copy's of Mig-29/35(Xmas last year!) but that's about the limit for that kind of book an E book version for $65-80 i could see as fair have a e book about Su-15's family same author for about $30
