NavWeaps Forum, Spammy?

Hi folks,

I regularly browse the NavWeaps Forum on Tapatalk, but recently I’ve been getting warnings from Chrome about unsecure links for their full-screen click-through adverts. The warnings don’t appear on Safari, but the ads do slow my old Mac down enormously.

It’s a website I’ve appreciated for years, but I’m now getting wary about browsing it.

What has the experience of other NavWeaps fans been? Am I an outlier?

NavWeaps migrated to the Tapatalk several years ago, which I'm frankly not hugely fond of, but I haven't noticed any abnormal slowdowns recently.

With Ublock Origin installed, the site is fine. Without, the adverts are intrusive and annoying.

Adblock Plus (Firefox) keeps me from ever seeing any of those - and keeps site speed up as well.
