"Russian Navy to Test a New Trimaran Vessel Concept Similar to LCS by Zelenodolsk Design Bureau"

Russia's "Zelenodolsk Design Bureau" (ZPKB) developped a trimaran vessel concept that Russian Navy is ready to test as "proof of concept" in a scale model. The concept is based on a civilian vessel designed by ZPKB, the "RUSICH-2.2".

This military concept is being considered as a possible patrol vessel by the Russian Navy, and for some potential foreign customers. For this reason, in April this year, Russian MoD awarded a contract for proof of concept: The contract and allocated funds are for "Design, construction and full-scale testing of a high-speed self-propelled scale model of trimaran vessel with outriggers identified as SAR by ZPKB" .

The vessel is expect to displace just 1,500 tons with a top speed of 35 knots.

Based on the various illustration available, it seems like this "Russian LCS" Trimaran could be fitted with:
A-192 130-mm main gun
UKSK VLS cells and/or Redut VLS cells
Paket-NK torpedoes
AK-630M-2 "Duet" CIWS
PK-10 decoy launchers

Furke radar
Mini-Poliment radar(from 20385)
"Zarya-2" Hull Sonar, "Vinietka" VDS
"Puma" 5P-10 artillery radar
Spot for helicopter Ka-27 type in underdeck hangar

So cute!! I love it! It'd be a wicked beauty too. I wonder how easy it would be to give it some ASW drones?

Below is linked a Russia Beyond article on the project from 2015.

The most advanced of the two dozen preliminary designs of Zelenodolsk DB is Corvette Rusich-1500. This ship is designed for combating surface, underwater and air enemies in the coastal and ocean areas, setting minefields, radio reconnaissance, search and rescue operations.

The chief designer of the projects at Zelenodolsk Design Bureau Alexey Kharitonov told Zvezda about the weapons and the advantages of this battle trimaran.

“Last year, we built and tested a large self-propelled model weighing 3.7 tons and 12 meters long. It performed much better than conventional single-hull boats. Should the results be projected on a full-scale boat, we will be able to effectively use weapons in a Force 6 storm, making it a unique feature of our Corvette.”

Corvette Rusich-2400 has two helicopter docks for helicopters Ka-28 (Ka-31), shock weapons of ‘Club’ type missile, SAM of ‘Redoute’ type, 130 mm artillery guns, powerful anti-submarine, sonar weapons and mine weapons. The boat can carry four UAVs.
