For safe and easy handling, it was fitted with slats. It was said to have very docile
stall characteristics and being impossible to spin. Like the Ercoupe, it was flown with
stick only, not using rudder pedals. Intended for the use by flying clubs and common
fellows, special attention was paid to inexpensive operation and maintenance.
So, many parts were interchangeable from left to right (fin and rudder, aileron, wing nose,
main gear leg) and parts like bolts were standardised, as much as possible.
For ease of stowing, the wings were foldable, but still then, the aircraft could be taxied under
own power
