In 1982, the Yugoslav government realized that it had 150 agricultural planes, 17 different models, all imported and logistical nightmare with spare parts. In March 1984 the requirements for new agricultural plane were made public and none of the existing models could meet them. There were a plethora of proposals (including the futuristic looking GBP-100) but in the end YU AG S/D won. Sadly the country disintegrated before the plane could enter production.
