G’day gents
If I could, I would like to rack your brains for information regarding the Boeing Vertol Model 360 experimental medium-lift tandem rotor cargo helicopter of the 1980’s.
I am putting together an ‘alternative history’ story on a ‘militarised’ Model 360, to supplement the costly and troublesome V-22 Osprey.
Does anyone know how similar the CH-46 and Model 360 were in size?
If I could gents, I’m trying to ascertain the internal cabin/hull dimensions of the Model 360?
The range of the Model 360?
The envisaged lifting capacity of the Model 360 (internal and external)?
Would anyone like to take a guess as to how many fully equipped troops the Model 360 would be able to carry?
Would anyone like to take a guess as to how much more weight a assault transport variant of the Model 360 would gain, over that of the actual demonstrator (please keep in mind that my Model 360M would have a trainable/turreted weapon system fitted (unlike the Osprey!!)
Does anyone have a high-resolution profile drawing of the Model 360?
Regards
Pioneer
