I'm working on a CAD model of the Rockwell "Star Raker" winged gigantic SSTO concept. I'm doing this to create accurate and consistent diagrams for the next issue of US Launch Vehicle Projects, but I'm also looking at using the CAD model and 3D printing to create a 1/288 scale model kit through Fantastic Plastic. I'm designing the model to be as simple and low in parts count as practical in order to keep the price low, but it'll still be a "garage kit."

The model is currently projected to be 1/288 scale, which will still be a pretty big model.

If you want to take a look at some preliminary renders, they're here:

If interested, let me know either here or over at the blog. The more interest there is, the more likely Fantastic Plastic will be to pick it up.

3) yes I'd be interested, though maybe in 1/200?
If it was warmer than 8 F in my garage where I do the alcohol-cleaning of resin printed parts, I'd show you the components of the 1/288 Star Raker currently being made for Fantastic Plastic to serve as masters for a kit. But 8F it is...
