Nord Griffon ain't really smiling - it rather look "startled" with its mouth wide open, in the shape of an "O" as if it was saying

"OOOOOOOOOOOH my god I'm so fast !!"


Alternatively, the Griffon looks like a fat opera singer (with a large belly, ROTFL)  giving all the lung strength he has on the opera climax (think Pavarotti !)


"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH !!!!!"


(and surely enough, the Griffon needed a big wide "mouth" and heavy inspiration to feed all the air and oxygen the Atar & ramjet needed).



And that long and pointy nose is so reminiscent of Cyrano de Bergerac ...
