What's the twin-tail USAF aircraft on the site theme?

Looks quite intriguing: Mirage 2000-sized tiny canards, twin-boom configuration with what appears to be a lifting body connecting them, and comparatively tiny normal wings.


Is this a real aircraft or just a concept dreamed up by one of the site's designers? If the latter, perhaps s/he should be credited for a gorgeous design.
