One thing the Marines did during Bataan's Harrier Carrier ops in Iraqi Freedom was to use LCACs to resupply ammunition. They had an LSD collect ammo from conventional T-AK cargo ships via VERTREP, then load it onto LCACs in the LSD well deck and shuttle it over to Bataan via her well deck.
