Warton Superfighters: Mystery Mini F-106 clone?

The mini F-106 is on page 5, lower left hand corner of the second image. Apparently it’s a Warton “P46” concept from a 1964 committee that promoted the general P45 concept. And I’m well aware that the resemblance to a F-106 is superficial. The delta wing is much farther forward, which reminds me of various unstable Northrop concepts from 15 or 20 decades later.

Do you have a time machine? :D

Decades?

Twin engine, twin seat, no internal bay

Possibly more inspired by Mirage III / IV given the timeframe

Warton's approach is to draw a lot of different things, but we're not talking about loads of design effort or analysis.

Some of the other P.46 studies were relatively conventional VG aircraft. Basically a proto-Tornado ADV.
