The British school seems to favour placing the tubes low, behind the sonar array:[ATTACH=full]762799[/ATTACH][ATTACH=full]762797[/ATTACH] [ATTACH=full]762798[/ATTACH]and this is a consistent across all RN submarine classes, from Valiant to Astute for sure. The upper half is a ballast tank mostly.The Soviet original has it vice-versa, but the bow is shorter and blunter there, and since I want to replace the whole forward section with one of a British design and incorporate a British sonar, I thought it's better to go along traditional composition.
