In December 1911, Karl Warchalowski filed a patent in Vienna concerning a flying bomb or projectile "Geschoss" according to the terms of the patent. It is ejected by a suitable ejector in the form of a long tube with slots enabling the passage of the wings and into the cutouts holding the special projections of the bomb body (fins strips), guiding the projectile in the ejector barrel and preventing its rotation. In the patent Warchalowski says the ejector can be mounted on an aircraft. The swing angle of the hinge horizontal tail could be set before the bomb is launched. from the horizontal axis of the rudder a vertical pin is led downwards, sliding in the arc guide , fixed in it at the desired angle by the wing nut .The rudder deflection angle was adjusted in a similar way vertical .thanks to this ,it is possible for the bomb to be able to avoid a terrain obstacle and slide towards the target with a sliding flight ,not only in straight line.
(Sorry for the google translation from polish to english knowing that the explanations of the patent in the original language are in German.)
