In the Vought Archives I found one notebook about Project Stork.
It was an attempt to build a Very Long Range Aircraft. It appears
to have two lives. from June 1982-June 1983 and a rebirth in February
1992.

Here are a few drawings from that notebook.
Basic aircraft are P-2, KC-135 and C-130

Wow, thanks for the images. Was there any mention of a mission for the aircraft, other than range just for the sake of range?

Neat stuff, thanks! I wonder if that 4 engined P-2 is related to a 4 engined version that Lockheed proposed. I can't recall the model number tho.

Fantastic projects! I love that sort of project which builds upon a proven airframe and attempts at optimizing it. The VLR C-135 PHase II is a thing of beauty! I can imagine these projects could lead to very nice what-if models.

Thanks Bill for sharing!
