Punnett's drawing of the He 111H-8 with balloon-cable cutters was originally published in Warplanes of the Second World War - Volume 9 - Bombers and Reconnaissance Aircraft by William Green, Macdonald 1967.It later appeared in Warplanes of the Third Reich, also by William Green, Macdonald 1970.Thirty aircraft converted from H-3/H-5 aircraft, survivors were again converted to He 111H-8/R2 glider tugs - cable-cutters were removed.
