USAAC Circular 34-220 Attack Airplane Competition ?

Amazing how Guiseppe Bellanca could improve pilot visibility with less than half the parts-count of Westland Lysander.
Bellanca only inlet the wing root and kept the rest of the wing constant-chord.

According to my original documents, the Model A was a modified version of the the Bellanca XSE-2 built for the Navy as a scout plane proposal. At the time of Bellanca's submission to the AAF - January 6, 1934 - the XSE-2 was undergoing flight tests at Bellanca's facility.

The documents to which you provide a link are quite different from mine which are the official submissions to the AAF. Most interesting!

CP 34-220 is one of the Attack Circular Proposals of which I do not yet have a copy. If NARA ever opens again it is on my list.
