Hi,

My name is Jim Keeshen. I am new to this forum and collect proposal models. I have no idea if I am in the right post, but thought I’d give it a shot.
Occasionally I find models that I cannot identify, thus I have joined this group.
Here are 2 models from the Douglas model shop. Someone mentioned that these may be early X-3 proposals, but I am not sure.
Any help would be welcomed. Thanks

Hi Jim - welcome. Moved the post to Postwar section where I think it belongs - these look like late 40s - early 50s to me.

Both seem to be missiles?

Some family resemblances to the Douglas parasite bomber stuff...

Wow, you guys are amazing!!! Wished I had joined up sooner.
Thank you all for your great help.
I’m now going to go through the collection and start pulling out models from my “Unknown Category”.
Am very grateful.

Dear Paul,

Thanks for cropping my “unknown” models, they look much better and will be careful to follow suit on any future pics that I will share.
You mentioned interest in the Northrop N-300A. This and any other model you may need for your research I will be happy to share with you.

One of my objectives with my collection is to present the various models in short video formats. I’d like to share a rough cut with you on the Douglas Parasite Bombers, Models 1211 and 1240 with the 1251A. This is not complete, needs to give credit to Tony Buttler, should include the material used in making the models. Also I have added what appears to be a successor to the parasites, the transport proposal of the Model 1254. Please take a look and let me know what you think.

Blue skies,

Jim

I love Mike Machat's Youtube channel - very happy you are going to be publishing stuff from your collection with him!
