Between 1919 and 1927 the Air Service's Engineering Division at McCook Field, Dayton, Ohio, was responsible for the solicitation of bids for Army aircraft designs. The Engineering Division released Type Specifications for an aircraft design and then expected the contractors to return a set of drawings, performance specifications, dimensions, and a model. The models were later placed in the Air Technical Museum on McCook Field. The models seemingly disappeared when the museum was moved to Wright Field. Below are some of the models that were in the museum. Looking to see if anyone can connect the model to a specific Type and manufacturers proposal. Hopefully better model photos, line drawings, or information on the designs can be found.

Very nice find! What was your source? Online, or did you scan original documents?
On some pictures you can see that some of the models had their identity written on them (one can read "Gallaudet Aircraft Corp. - Type XIII - 1921 - Prize ???" in one of the pics, on an aircraft reminiscent of the DB-1). It would have been nice to have clearer and/or enlarged versions!

These are the clearest images I have of a US Air Force Museum photo of the McCook Air Technical Museum, a kind of petting zoo for engineers and military personnel in the early 1920s.

Only a couple have the models have identification markings on the side. Hopefully, the configuration of the models will provide a clue to the proposed designs.

Here's some information on the types below.

Unlikely. The wings are shorter, the wheels are not in the same place, and I can't see the two large engines, which suggests it might be a single-engine proposal.

May it was from Aeromarine ?,or a fighter !,Curtiss 18 ?.
