I am not a fan of AH. 'wet dream' fantasies but events across the globe over the past decade or so emphasise just how toothless/useless the UN. as an institutional agency has become. (UNinvolved in peace, indeed as the joke goes)

It is interesting to compare eg. Congo in the 1960s which saw serious commitment from volunteering nations including Sweden, India, Italy, Ethiopia, Phillipines, Canada, Malaysia, Ireland & Iran.

The so called 'oil wars', Ukraine, and the genocide of the Palestinian peoples by Israel, being but a few examples of where a stronger UN. involvement in similar vein through a multinational force may have made a difference ?

It would be interesting to see a coalition of willing nations taking on Israeli or Russian aggression (in reality with multiple agendae and 'games' it would end up like the Balkans UN. shitshow !)

discuss ...

That's off-topic for the forum's focus which is on unbuilt projects. Going into alternative history only makes sense when allows to scenarios for this unbuilt projects to exist.

I agree that we already have some crazy threads absolutely unrelated to unbuilt projects like cats, aliens or Australian dangerous fauna but we must try to avoid topics potentially ending into a political confrontation arena.
