Providing solutions for Turkey’s turbofan engine needs, TEI is developing the first original design national turbofan engine TEI-TF10000 Turbofan Engine with 10,000 lbf (6,000 lbf dry thrust) power with afterburner. This project is of critical importance both for meeting the country’s needs and for technological gain on the way to the engine of the National Combat Aircraft KAAN.
It is envisaged that the TEI-TF10000 Turbofan Engine will power many manned and unmanned aviation platforms.
Within the scope of the TEI-TF10000 project, an afterburner turbofan engine and related critical technologies will be developed nationally for the first time in Turkey. It is also planned for the engine accessories and subsystems to be developed by domestic companies. Within this scope, it is aimed to gain knowledge and experienced manpower both at TEI and its subcontractors.
