Regarding bomb-bays for supersonic drops...Was it PLUTO / SLAM that would slide them out of tail ?? Perhaps with a stabilising drogue ?? IIRC, was the only way to prevent turbulence tumbling everything apart, or potentially tossing even a rotating bay's 'drop' back against fuselage ??( I'm reminded of the fatal woes a supersonic recon drone encountered when launched supersonic... )
