A large scale model of the Tu-144 at the entrance to the hangar at Monino and the real thing outside, looking rather sad on this rainy, bleak day in Moscow many years ago in the age of crappy 35mm film cameras.

Was there any effort to actually keep the Tu-144 in limited service VIP's ? after the crash as from Yefin Gordon's book about the Tu-144 is was shown being at least used to show the capability of soviet civil aviation to western VIP's including Neill Armstrong who may have gotten a Tu-144 model
