I agree and in comparison to the 1960s purchases of US aircraft it wouldn't be as much a drain on the Treasury's Dollar reserves due to the North Sea oil being on stream.However, it's somewhat of an "out of the blue" suggestion. Were you writing it in reply to one of my posts?
