The only mosquito FB 24
The sole F.B. 24 prototype of 1945 with Packard Merlin 301 two stage superchargers and a streamlined nose

Couldn't find a 3-view still yet, showing the elongated nose. Obviously the quartett of 4
machine guns was deleted, but I cannot even the the troughs for the 20 mm guns.
Was the prototype unarmed ?

Taped over, perhaps?
Could be an optical illusion, but I swear I can see something looking like taped (or otherwise faired) over gun troughs in the photo.

Some sources mention the 24 as projected, but not built, the serials KA928-929 being reserved for the prototypes. Others, like William Green, only mention KA928 as built. Thirsk states that FB 21 KA102 was used in the FB 24 development.

Interestingly, in Australia FB 40 A52-90 was also fitted with Merlin 69s as the prototype FB 42.
