Irish rock band Thin Lizzy's sixth studio album 'Jailbreak' (1976) was their most successful album in the US. The climactic track, 'Emerald' like many of their songs drew from Irish history, in this case the disasterous decision by one Irish lord to bring in mercenaries from England to fight in his wars.
