I see where you are coming from but, the topic is converted MBT as IFV/APC. Remove the turret etc from a Chieftain and you loose a shed load of weight.The problem I see with any Chieftain conversion is simply the layout which, imho, would make the cost AND compromises required rather excessive and pointless.
