A patent, that later found its way into some projects by Daimler Benz,
proposing the use of a carrier aircraft for launching a fast aircraft in flight.
First patent Nr.62c 27/01-891 658, proposing to carry the fast aircraft
piggy-back, was filed in march 1944. Two months later, an addition was filed,
with the fast aircraft carried underneath the carrier aircraft, so easing the
process of loading and preparing this combination.
Maybe interesting, that the main reason for the carrier aircraft wasn't to add
engine power, but to add wing area. The ratio of MTOW to empty weight for the
carried aircraft was expected to be around 36 tons to 14 tons !
