The saga of the lone Type 82 HMS Bristol is well known. Her three sister ships were cancelled when CVA01 died in 1966.
Bristol served as the trials ship for Seadart and Ikara but had a somewhat chequered career.
The RN originally planned a mix of high and low end Seadart and Ikara ships. In the end they used converted Leanders for Ikara and T42 for Seadart.
I still like the T82 for all its problems and it would have been nice to see four in RN service as Task Force escorts.
