Mr. Filip Mihail was a Romanian designer,he created at first two patents for airplanes, considered a Type I & II,
after that came the Type III in late of 1920s and followed by Type IV,all details are in the site.
Loved the look of this little beastie, so started a small trawl to find out more. First up a couple of extra pictures, the first showing a rear three quarter view of the Stabiloplan IV. The second is a series of pictures including the first one with Filip Mihail with the Stabiloplan nestled under the wing of the ANT-14 Pravda, the second could be the type during the build process, but I am not sure, whilst the third shows how easy it was to tow the type behind a car.
And last but not least two artworks of the Stabiloplan III and the Stabiloplan IV together with some pictures of scratchbuilt models. The red and cream one is at 1/72 scale, whilst the blue one was built to 1/15 scale. And if you want to see the type take to the skies once more watch
