Run out of gas between planets? Not if engineers of the future perfect these weird brainchildren. At top, the «Snooper» discharges high velocity particles, the ions giving it a speed of thousands of miles per hour. At bottom, the solar engine takes to space with a 360-degree range so that it can always keep the mirror toward the sun. The drawings were inspired by Rocketdyne engineers of North American Aviation Corp. (International)
