Dear Boys and Girls, here is an article in French about the SNCAN Nord 2600 turboprop airliner which was a follow-on to the SNCAN Nord 2501 Noratlas. It would have been powered by two Rolls-Royce Dart turboprops with wing-tip mounted Turboméca Palas booster jets; it remained a "project"......

The article comes from the 25th December 1954 issue of Les Ailes......

Top view kind of heralds what truly WAS Nord Aviation's replacement of the Noratlas, the Transall...
 
My dear Caravellarella,

here is the SNCAN N.2600 from Flightglobal site,with Lockheed L-1449 project,
the SNCAN N.2600 was intended to compete the Hurel-DUBOIS HD-70.

Thank you Hesham for this better drawing; I wonder if the cabin floor would have been curved to match the cabin window line......
