I learned about these interested drawings from another forum, and there are links to the sources given by other members below.
But a companion of mine believes that these are "fake drawings" made using some Australia's cruiser plan drawings and Photoshop.
I feel distressed.
So are these drawings real?

These are real I've seen them online a decade or more ago. Offered indeed to Australia next to the Cockatoo own design. They were also offered to the RN as alternatives or improvements on the Counties

Yes they are real.

A bit distressing people assume these are fakes (poor Sir Thurston will be turning in his grave), though these days with increasing proliferation of photoshopped kitbashes I can see why some would be sceptical.
