Ah, I've never seen a drawing of a MPA or bomber derivative of the VC-10 before. I should mention that the Vanguard would have made an excellent alternative to the Nimrod, if only because the unpressurised baggage compartment might have made an excellent weapons bay without substantial structural modifications - assuming that depth was adequate.
