Seversky, Grumman, Republic digitized images online (Cradle of Aviation Museum)

Thank you for the heads-up!

When I was a docent at the Cradle, I was begging and begging them for years to digitize their materials, much in the same way the San Diego Air & Space Museum (SDASM) has done and posted on their Flickr Commons site. Glad to see this finally happening to some degree.

Speaking of digitizing old documents .. what is the current standard?

When I recently visited the Aviation Museum in Langley, B.C. the librarian explained that they were affiliated with Avlogs who digitize old log books, technical manuals, etc. He had a another box of books under his desk headed for Avlogs.
Twould seem simpler to me to merely digitize books locally, then e-mail them to Avlogs.
