Seversky 2PA Guardsman, aka B 6, aka AT-12

So to start from the beginning. Seversky constructed a 2 seater lightbomber/fighter version of their P-35 called 2PA Guardsman. Sweden ordered 52 of these as the B 6 but due to an embargo on Sweden only 2 where delivered.

The B 6 was supposed to act as a light bomber as a first role and as a fighter in second role. But since Sweden only recieved 2 of them they where instead only used as staff planes, especially after one of them crashed quickly into its service life and armed as such. Due to this its basically impossible to find out what armament it was to have originally.

The 50 planes which were not delivered where used as trainers by the US as the AT-12. The us seems to have armed these with everything from 2x 7,62 mm m1919's to 4x 12,7 mm m2's.

I been wanting to find data on this plane for a while but internet doesnt seem to have any good sources. Anyone here who happens to have any data on it? Like what armament were they built to house?

Ye but it doesnt give the full picture nor does it tell me what armament the Swedish variant had. Sites mentions everything from 2-4x 7,62 mm to 2-4x 12,7 mm. If they where built for 4 50cals then the Swedish variant would have had 4x 13,2 mm akan m/39 cannons which was the swedish equivelant.

Have you tried Googling the 2PA? There are number of sites referenced there that should probably have that information. There is also a discussion forum on the Swedish Air Force in WWII on ww2aircraft.net.

Ive googled a lot. And ww2aircraft.net doesnt have anything i dont already know.

Only reference I could find so far was this small part of a larger AT-12 plan from Monografie Lotnicze #25, but I'll keep digging.

I do not know the extent of your internet search or what method you used, and probably you've seen these before, but just in case (and since it kind of fleshes out this topic a bit) here are a few Swedish pages with what seems to be reasonably good info on the B 6. Thank you for your support but those articles are not new to me. Also they only show the armament they got as staff planes which was 2 front mounted 8 mm mgs and one 8 mm for the gunner. Also the polish blueprint u found shows a modification that was done to the surviving b 6 and all swedish j 9s (swedish p-35's) in 1944. It was a lengthened air intake.
