I don't think Group Mike actually designed any ships. SCFRS was just a fleet architecture study, and SOCS was a laundry list of future design practices they wanted.

I think they did some conceptual sketches. There are too many very similar sketches for them all to come from nothing.

That second image I attached comes from an Armed Forces Journal article but I think was originally in Proceedings somewhere.
