Secret radar on Martin Mariner

Martin Mariner JX103 arrived at RAF Helensburgh in September 1943 with G added to the serial number. G guard at all times. The secret radar was housed on top of the fuselage. Does anyone know any info on this type of radar?

It was a PBM-3C with a AN/APS-15 radar set, also known as the H2X, which was a development of the British H2S and proved good for surface-search over sea.

Thank you Hood I know RAF Helensburgh worked closely with Consolidated on air to sea radar and sent over a Catalina fitted with it for inspection. Catalina DP202 flew to San Diego with the latest LRASV.
