English sources on the rebellion itself are fairly solidly sourced and described (excerpt from 'Eighth Voyage of the Dragon' by Swanson included), but I have yet to find any primary sources with any details on the rebuild. Many sources claim that the existing hull would have been used with 2 new turbines for 30 knots, and an armament of 4x2 130mm B-2LM and 8x2 57mm (57mm/79 ZIF-31?) guns, but I am yet to find any primary or reliable secondary sources to corroborate this. So, I am wondering if any sources exist for such a rebuild in other languages, and am requesting any help in finding such sources.

Alright, I've dug a bit up, and had some people translate stuff from from some chinese admirals.

TLDR:

China has no money to pay for soviet salvage ideas and plans

a couple years later, china has the money to possibly pay for it

Soviets recommend a new armament to coordinate with the Pr. 7/7Us they have been given

4x2 130mm B2LM guns + 8x2 57mm, speed would have been down to about 30 knots

(other plans were considered - currently "unpublished soviet sources")

China still doesn't have the money to implement said plans, and eventually decide it is not worth it to repair the cruiser instead of building new destroyers/patrol ships/submarines

Eventually, the ship is refit with the VTE engines out of one of the late 1890s patrol ships, and is used as a floating barrack for oil rig workers, before being scrapped ~~sometime in the 1990s?~~ Sometime during the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976)

This info is still extremely barebones, but English information is exceedingly difficult to come by.

I am currently trying to get access to either more chinese sources on the ship OR the files at the leningrad institute.

Also, at some point, Kruschev offered a Pr. 26bis cruiser, and the Chinese were interested in a Sverdlov, but this would have required extremely high prices for the PLAN, from basing rights for the Russians all the way up to direct Soviet control of the navy, so these offers were rejected.
