Scavengers Reign - HBO Max/Netflix

Finally appearing outside of the US & HBO Max this is one of the best animated shows I’ve seen a long time. Just a shame that though Netflix have now picked it up they’ve done virtually nothing to promote it. Which is a shame as it’s one the best and most truly alien scifi shows animated or not that I’ve seen in years. It’s more akin to the kind of speculative more hard scifi that I’ve only read in books than anything recent on TV. I imagine even with modern technology it would be unbelievably expensive to do something like this in live action. Let alone the time and effort to think up the ecology of this planet and all the huge number of unique creatures used in the show.
