S-400 premier missiles are long-range 48N6-family and 40N6, while mid-range 9M96 is a cross-platform missile, that can be used with S-300PM2, S-350, S-400 and naval Redut ADS.
 
I did some searching on Google and it would appear that the US DoD designation for the S-350 is SA-X-28, does anyone know what its' NATO designation is (Aside from it beginning with a "G")?

How many of these systems does Russia have? There can't be many around so this would no doubt be a severe blow to the Russians losing this battery.

It is pretty new, but the real issue, here, is that TWZ, once again, has used a very misleading title for..."reasons". A launcher was destroyed, yes, but that's not nearly the same thing as destroying a full battery/system with all of the TELs &, crucially, the radars, & it's long been the same story with The S-400, as in the vast majority of cases, Ukraine winds up taking out launchers far more frequently than the radars, & yet the story is always the same - "Ukraine Destroys Another Expensive Russian Air Defense System".

It's just not true.

Not the same story.
Most types of S-400 TELs are suprisingly cheap(expensive car level cheap), with 4 very affordable, mass-produced missiles inside(if they aren't shot yet). There is no crew inside when it's in operation.

S-350 TEL isn't a cheap one, and its warload(12+ ARH missiles) costs significant amount of money.
