Hi,

RWD-12 was single engined high-wing recce/observation aircraft,
never completed.
RWD-18 was twin-engined high-wing touring and ambulance aircraft,
also never completed.
RWD-22 was twin-engined mid-wing torpedo float plane project.
RWD-24 was landplane version of RWD-22,intended as twin-engined
light bomber,project only.
RWD-25 was single seat lightweight fighter project.
RWD-26 was single engined low-wing trainer aircraft,post WW2 project.

RWD-12 was proposed in 1933 as a replacement to Lublin R-XIII, but with the same 220-hp Wright engine it wasn't much better. Therefore it was rejected by Polish AF. Then RWD team proposed a new, more advanced and powerful project - RWD-14 Czapla (Heron) which later came into series.

RWD-18 and RWD-25 prototypes were under construction when the Nazis invaded Poland in September 1939. If the war didn't begin, RWD-18 could be flown in December 1939 and RWD-25 fighter in middle 1940.

RWD-22 floatplane was also planned to fly in 1940; Marynarka Wojenna (the Polish navy) planned to order 12 aircraft of this type. The land version, RWD-24, had also more powerful engines - two 700-hp Gnome-Rhone 14M Mars radials, while RWD-22 was powered by 430/470-hp PZL G-1620 bis Mors B or 400-hp P&W Wasp Junior 8B. RWD-24 was a counterpart for a light bomber projected by PWS.

In my ongoing research into my father's company Long Sault Woodcraft, where they made radomes for the DEW Line and Pinetree lines in Canada, I found out that George (Jerzy) Drzewiecki worked at NRC in Ottawa Canada with my father and was also a frequent visitor at Long Sault on radome matters.

See attached article from The Ottawa Citizen (May 17, 1990) mentioning some of his achievements. The 2nd attached file is a screenshot of a memoir written by George Escher (who was an Engineer at Long Sault) with first hand account of Jerzy's accident.

The British government made him a Member of the Order of the British Empire for his service as n Allied ferry pilot.
