Highly doubtful this has any weight. Russia abandoned plans for the foreseeable future to mass produce their premier air superiority and strike aircraft but are now pouring money into a VTOL fighter that has not been part of their combat doctrine. In other news, earth is flat
Yakovlev are the company behind the new VSTOL/STOVL fighter, it makes sense after the Yak-38 and the Yak-131. It will be interesting as to what it eventually looks like.
