What’s your source for the length of the Crusader proposed to the RN? I’ve never found any detailed specs.We know that the TF-8A itself had the same length as the regular Crusader. I also wonder if it might have been possible to square off the tail plane above the rudder… could have cut the overall length by about 1ft.
