Hello, I recently got the chance to visit the basement of the San Diego Air and Space Museum where I found this engine, the Rocky Mountain Steel Products Inc. “Pegasus”
It came with a plaque which gives some basic info but I’d love to know more if any of y’all happen to know anything. The plaque mentions the engine is a 9 cylinder aircooled radial, with a bore of 4.2625 inches and a stroke of 5.5 inches. The engine has a displacement of 832 cubic inches and it produces 225 horsepower at sea level. The engine was designed by Charles F. Willard and is similar to (and likely based on) the Wright Whirlwind. The engine was also produced in 1929.
