I'd like to establish when the Rebecca Mk 7 or Mk 8 "DME" on-board radio navigation system that served on many RAF jets was finally retired by British military? Does anyone know the answer? Did this happen when the TACAN and ILS became omnipresent in the second half of the 1960s making the Eureka/Rebecca and Gee obsolete?
