I went down and checked out a similar club in central Florida many years ago when I was still living there. It looks like a helluva lot of fun but its not a wide spread hobby like RC airplanes, cars or model trains. I'm based (but don't live) in SFO and there's a club there in south bay called Western Warship Combat Club that I'm hoping to join when we finally move back out west. There are quite a few videos of the WWCC on youtube as well.
