I don't think more Lightning's are cheap compared to Jaguar. RDT&E costs for a new type were much smaller at this time, and it's much more expensive UPC and O&S costs. e.g. compared to Buccaneer then Jaguar had multiple times lower O&S costPlus where's the nav system on those ground attack Lightning's? It feels like a much worse and much more expensive ground attack aircraft than Jaguar...
