The boys participating in this designcontest did a geat job, nevertheless
I'm wondering how they thought to bring the power to the prop. A long
driveshaft between the pilots/pupils legs, or positioned deeper in the
fuselage driving a gear in the nose, but probably closing the intake then ? ???

I would just ask, at this point why bother? and just retire the props for more Hawks.

Well done boys/gents on your designs and efforts
It’s just a pity that your skills and talents in aeronautics will be limited by the fact that the British Aviation industry is so small and limited today!
Then again these may just be the lads that revitalize the British Aerospace Industry – well if some of them also join politics!

I recently talked to someone, who is studying aerospace engineering and he's quite aware,
that working in this field may well mean living in another country. So, participating in such
a contest may well be a door-opener for those guys and girls, although not necessarily in GB. :-\
